HISTORY

best accounting 2015

In 1988, Dana Piazza founded the accounting firm that would become PDM. He started the practice with an office in Torrance, California, shortly thereafter adding an office in San Pedro.

Scott Donnelly joined the firm in 1997 as Dana’s partner. Soon after, Lacy Marlette, Jr. joined the partnership, merging his tax practice of over 20 years. Together, the three partners became known as Piazza Donnelly and Marlette, LLP (now PDM). Hank Parker joined in 2004 to take leadership of the growing assurance department.

Over the last eight years the firm has successfully merged three local CPA practices, as well as bringing in two partners from other firms with specialty practices in tax and assurance.

The firm continued its growth with the merger of Steve Love, CPA into PDM in 2006. In 2009 Anthony Bozanic became the second partner dedicated solely to the assurance department, bringing with him a robust audit practice focused on nonprofit organizations.

In 2012, the firm of Pat O’Brien, CPA merged into PDM while, at the same time, Carol Kulencavich brought her 20 years of tax expertise to the partnership. Gary Kuwahara merged his Torrance-based tax practice into PDM in January 2015.

Today, PDM is comprised of more than 30 professionals who provide tax, audit and financial planning services to individuals, family owned businesses, non-profit organizations, and privately held companies.
